About Lumenjmint
A property agency built around one question: what does the client actually need?
Since 2018, Lumenjmint has operated from Nakuru with a simple premise — detailed local knowledge, applied in service of each client's specific situation.
What Lumenjmint does, in plain language
Lumenjmint is a boutique real estate agency based in Nakuru, Kenya. We help individuals, families, and businesses buy, sell, rent, and correctly value property across Nakuru County and the broader Rift Valley region. Unlike a large listing portal that earns from volume, we earn from outcomes: a transaction that closes cleanly, at a fair price, with documentation that holds up under legal scrutiny. Our work covers four core areas — residential and commercial sales, long-term and short-term rentals, professional market valuations, and strategic investment consulting. We do not manage construction projects, provide mortgage finance, or act as lawyers; where those services are needed, we refer clients to vetted professionals in our network. The amber-gold interiors of our Kenyatta Avenue office reflect the warmth we try to bring to every client relationship — a trait that does not sit naturally with the high-pressure tactics common in fast-moving property markets.
Who we serve, how we work, and what you should expect
Our clients include first-time buyers navigating Kenya's transfer process for the first time, diaspora investors purchasing remotely and relying on us for eyes-on-the-ground assessment, landlords seeking well-screened tenants, and businesses expanding into Nakuru's growing commercial district. Since our founding in 2018, the team has closed more than 320 transactions across residential plots, apartments, stand-alone homes, and commercial premises. Every client is assigned one named advisor from first contact to post-transfer follow-up — not a rotating roster of agents. Our advisors spend the majority of their working week in the field: visiting sites, attending land-registry searches, and verifying boundary beacons. That investment of time is why our clients rarely encounter surprises at the final signing. We ask all new clients to complete a brief written requirements document before the first property viewing; this small step consistently cuts search time in half. Where a property is priced fairly, we say so and advise acceptance. Where we believe a property carries hidden risk — encumbrances, disputed access, or inflated comparable prices — we say that too, even if it means losing the commission on that particular deal. That honesty is the thing clients most often mention when they refer us to others.
“I was purchasing a plot in Lanet as a diaspora buyer from the UK. My Lumenjmint advisor sent me a video walkthrough, a boundary beacon report, and a copy of the land search within 48 hours of my enquiry. When a caution appeared on a second plot I had liked, they advised me to walk away and explained exactly why. That kind of straightforward advice is difficult to find.”
